Frequently Asked Questions
It is a semi-permanent form of tattooing that uses different pigments and techniques designed for the face and not implanted as deep into the skin as a traditional tattoo. Allowing it to age more gracefully and fade over time.
All cosmetic tattoos are designed with soft buildable layers and require at least 2 sessions, 5-10 weeks apart to create.
Touch ups are required 5-10 weeks after your initial treatment because the healing process varies form person to person. Based on your skin type, immune system, genetics, and how well the pre/after care instructions were followed, We won’t be able to tell how your tattoo will truly look until it is at least 6 weeks healed. Seeing a healed first session allows us to adjust treatment to optimize lasting results.
Most looks take at least 2 sessions to create. On occasion, some clients may desire a 3rd session to achieve desired results. Any additional touchups must be completed within 5-12 weeks from the last session and are charged accordingly.
Depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare, a cosmetic tattoo can last anywhere from 6 months to 3 years or longer. In order to keep brows looking fresh, a touchup is recommended every 1-2 years.
Topical 5% Lidocaine with epinephrin is used to make you comfortable during your SemiPermanent Cosmetic procedure, however pain tolerance varies from client to client. Having the procedure during your menstrual cycle may increase your sensitivity. Most clients state it wasn’t nearly as bad as they thought it would be and tend to fall asleep.
Initial appointments take approximately 3- 3.5 hours.
This includes the consultation day of, mapping out your new shape, application of the cosmetic tattoo, aftercare instructions and before/after photos are taken.
Follow-up sessions take approximately 2 hours.

True healed results are not seen until at least 5-6 weeks after any cosmetic tattoo is performed.
Day 1 – will appear sharp, detailed, slightly red or irritated
Day 2-5 – they become darker and raised as they form a light scab. Color in this phase will appear 40-60% darker than healed result.
Day 5-12 – the scab naturally exfoliates, peels and flakes away over the course of several days. DO NOT PICK. The fresh skin underneath is whitish with a waxy coating, brows will appear lighter than final result
Day 12-30 – The color will slowly come back darker as the new skin settles and heals. Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color and healed results.
Day 30+ – Cosmetic Tattoos are a 2 step process, you should not expect to see full results after one treatment. Your look is built with buildable layers. The second appointment is to fine tune your shape, fill in any areas, touch up any light spots and also to assess how your skin reacts to the process, and the chosen color.
